Welcome to the Mental Health Management Ontology

Access the Mental Health Management Ontology (MHMO). It can be used as a semantic layer in Decision Support Systems, Health Observatories, Machine Learning algorithms, and other intelligent applications for Digital Health. This is a non-profit, open-source project.

Vocabulary

Knowledge representation and standardization of vocabularies and terminologies of mental health, according to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), and Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine – Clinical Terms (SNOMED-CT).

Inferences

We aim to provide knowledge to improve Evidence-Based Decisions, Public Health Planning, and Indicators Generation through ontology-based inferences from our knowledge repository.

Technologies and standards recommended for MHMO use:

Apache Jena Fuseki – It provides the SPARQL 1.1 protocols for query and update as well as the SPARQL Graph Store protocol.

Protégé – Is an open-source ontology editor and framework for building intelligent systems using OWL and RDF.

W3C Semantic Web – Documentation from the main international standards organization for the World Wide Web.

GraphDB – Is an enterprise ready Semantic Graph Database, compliant with W3C Standards.

Schema.org – A collaborative, community activity with a mission to create, maintain, and promote schemas for structured data on the Internet.
